Beginning in the 27-28 school year, select IDEA campuses will offer a full-day Pre-K 4 program for children aged 4-year-olds by September 1.

The early years are an important time in a child’s development. A positive Pre-K experience can help children enter Kindergarten feeling more confident, comfortable and ready to learn.
At IDEA, we know Pre-K is a big and exciting step for both you and your child. That’s why we’re here to answer questions parents like you may have about our program:
IDEA will offer Pre-K 4. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the school year they will attend.
Transportation is available for eligible students who live within the participating campus’s 8-mile Optimal Operating Zone. Availability may depend on the family’s address and campus transportation routes. Find more information about our bus routes here: IDEA’s Transportation page.
Children will build early reading, language, math, problem-solving, social-emotional and classroom skills through hands-on activities, exploration and purposeful play.
Yes. IDEA Pre-K is free for eligible students. Free breakfast and lunch are also included during the school day.
Each planned classroom will serve up to 22 children with one certified teacher and one co-teacher approximately one adult for every 11 students.
Enrolled IDEA Pre-K students will not need to re-enter the lottery for Kindergarten when their families complete the required Intent to Return and re-registration steps
