Kathryn Strickland Rodriguez was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. She moved to the RGV in 2012 as a Teach for America Corps member and began her career in education as an English teacher at IDEA San Benito.
After four years teaching middle and high school, she was promoted to Assistant Principal of Instruction at IDEA Weslaco College Prep.
