Yvette Delgado is a proud native of El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Delgado was a classroom teacher for 20+ years. She was then recruited to IDEA’s Fellowship program in 2017, where she relocated to South Texas to serve a year at IDEA Pharr Academy learning IDEA’s Culture, focusing on instructional coaching and leadership development. Mrs. Delgado returned to El Paso in 2018 as an Assistant Principal to launch Edgemere. She graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Reading.
As a new principal of IDEA Mesa Hills, it is vital to her that her staff will have the confidence in what Mesa Hills offers academically, socially, and emotionally and would consider Mesa Hills the choice for their own children. Mrs. Delgado wants parents and scholars to say IDEA Mesa Hills is the best place to learn, and to work. Why? Because they feel valued (team and family), they feel safe, there’s joy, celebration of gains, it is a positive and uplifting place to be at, and overall, they feel proud to say they attend, work, and learn at Mesa Hills Academy.
