The application for staff to apply to join the IDEA Public Schools Team & Family for the 2024-25 school year is now open! You can now apply for leadership and teaching openings, and roles for headquarters offices, regional offices and operations.

We’re looking to fill an array of positions at campuses and regional offices in Austin, El Paso, Greater Houston, Permian Basin, the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, Southern Louisiana, Tarrant County, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Greater Cincinnati for the 2024-25 school year! Before you do, here are six things you should know about the career journey with IDEA Public Schools.

1. You will receive feedback and coaching. It may feel overwhelming at first, especially if it’s new to you, but you will experience more rapid growth and increase your positive impact on students. Being open to receiving, implementing and sharing feedback with others is key in our workplace culture. It’s something we will look for throughout the application process.  

2. We are goal and data driven. Being able to articulate and share your plan and path to reaching a goal is a great way to share with us what you have accomplished both professionally and academically. We also want to know how you completed your accomplishments! At IDEA, we are anchored in our goals and the data that provides us with evidence of progress and direction to focus our efforts.   

3. At IDEA, you’ll be working alongside a team of like-minded individuals who share your passion for making a difference. While the work can be challenging, it’s also incredibly rewarding when you see the impact you’re making together. We believe that by working together, we can achieve great things and make a positive impact on the world around us.             

4. For teaching positions, apply for positions that are within your certification area. If you are not certified, apply for positions that align with your content knowledge, experiences or strengths.            

5. If you are applying for a position that a recruiter may have said is highly competitive, consider applying for any additional positions that align with your background and skills.                   

6. When in doubt about selecting positions to apply for, prioritize your passion along with skills and content knowledge. Remember—IDEA values the quality of your application.
