I began my journey with the IDEA Team and Family in 2015 at IDEA San Benito in the Rio Grande Valley. There, I started as a co-teacher for Special Education. The following year, I transitioned to teaching 3rd grade ELA and dedicated two years to nurturing young minds to love reading.
I am a native El Pasoan starting my 32nd year in education and my 14th year in school administration. My years in education have taken me from high and middle school teaching to coaching everything under the sun. I have loved every minute of it and look forward to spending the next few years doing the same thing. As an El Pasoan and educator, I’m tremendously excited IDEA Public Schools is in the El Paso Region and giving students a fantastic opportunity at an excellent education. On a personal note, I like spending my time off with my wife and watching Texas Tech athletics.
