Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Isaac Williams received a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies in English and American Literature, English Language Arts, and Humanities from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Upon graduation, he began teaching freshman English Language Arts and Reading for a local charter school while going to get a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies with a concentration on Educational Leadership from UTEP. He then went on to earn a second master’s in Educational Administration from UTEP, while teaching freshman English Language Arts, serving as an English I lead and coaching Speech, Debate, and Oral Interpretation at Eastlake High School in the Socorro Independent School District.
In 2017, Isaac became the Assistant Principal for the New Tech STEAM program at Brown Middle School in the El Paso Independent School District, where he served until the fall of 2020 when he joined the IDEA Public Schools team and family! In the fall of 2020, Isaac returned to serve the Socorro community as a Principal-in-Residence at IDEA Rio Vista College Prep to enhance his instructional leadership skills and his coaching tactics necessary to serve as a Principal for IDEA Public Schools in the future. As the successor principal for IDEA Horizon Vista Academy, Isaac is committed and excited about working with a group of passionate educators that are focused on changing the course of students’ lives.
Continue ReadingDenise earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2013. Her goal is to continue her education with plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies.
Denise has been in the education field since 2017 and was formerly employed at El Paso Community College as an Administrative Assistant for the Career and Transfer Services Department. She had the pleasure of being the launching SIS for IDEA Edgemere and the Training and Events Coordinator for the El Paso Region. As of July 2020, Denise has the honor to be part of the Horizon Vista Family. Go STORM!
