Student Applications for IDEA Public Schools’ 2022-2023 School Year Open Today

FORT WORTH, TX (Sept. 1, 2021) – IDEA Public Schools in Tarrant County will be accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year beginning today, Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

IDEA Tarrant Country currently serves 3,035 students in eight schools across four campuses. IDEA’s tuition-free public school model focuses on personalized learning, core subjects, critical thinking and college preparation. Teachers partner with students and families every step of the way to ensure success both inside and outside of the classroom. For 15 consecutive years, 100 percent of IDEA students across the country have matriculated to college.

“IDEA Tarrant County takes immense pride in giving families across our community access to high-quality education at no cost and the promise of college preparedness, expanding to serve more students in our region, as we opened our fourth campus, IDEA Southeast, this academic year,” said Ana Shropshire, executive director of IDEA Tarrant County. “We are committed to improving access to excellent education options in this community and ensuring our students have every opportunity to achieve success, through college, in their careers and beyond.”

The deadline to apply for the 2022-23 school year is Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Parents can submit an application here.

IDEA’s lottery for the 2022-23 school year will take place on Saturday, February 19. During the lottery, names will be selected at random, by grade, with spots offered in the order of names selected. If a spot becomes available, students will be selected from the waitlist and parents will be notified of their selection and informed of the next steps.
