This year, 32 IDEA high schools were recognized in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings, with 24 IDEA College Preparatory schools ranking within the Top 10% of charter high schools nationwide.
For 18 consecutive years, IDEA Public Schools has earned a place in the annual U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings. This continued recognition reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, school leaders, staff, and families and their commitment to preparing every student for success in college and beyond.
The 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings evaluate nearly 18,000 public high schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools are evaluated based on several measures of student achievement and college readiness, including college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency and performance, graduation rates, and the performance of underserved students.
