IDEA Public Schools’ 2025 College Signing Day events are in full swing! On May 6, IDEA El Paso celebrated its first graduating class at the El Paso Convention Center.
The region honored 128 seniors from IDEA El Paso campuses – including IDEA Edgemere, IDEA Rio Vista, and early graduates from IDEA Mesa Hills! IDEA El Paso’s first graduating class earned over 688 college acceptances with a 62% acceptance rate to Tier 1 and Tier 2 schools, meaning that over half of IDEA El Paso’s graduating seniors have gained admittance into the nation’s most exclusive and highly selective colleges and universities.
At College Signing Day 2025 in El Paso, 8 seniors were honored with scholarship funds to help fund the next four years in college. Six students were awarded IDEA’s GiveMeFive Scholarship of $8,000, funded by generous donations from the IDEA Team and Family. IDEA El Paso’s 2025 GiveMeFive Scholarship Recipients from each campus are Sean Michela and Mariana Aldape from IDEA Edgemere, Madison Felix and Marion Garcia from IDEA Rio Vista, and Juan Colunga and Valeria Inthalangsy from IDEA Mesa Hills.
In honor of IDEA Public Schools’ former Board Chair and Acting CEO, the family of Al Lopez honors one senior in each region with a scholarship award in his memory. This year’s recipient of the Al & Judy Lopez Scholarship was Emily Enriquez from IDEA Edgemere, who was awarded $10,000 towards her college future. Emily is the first student in the El Paso region to be named an Al & Judy Lopez Scholar.
EPIC Insurance Brokerage and Consultants awarded one senior from IDEA Public Schools’ graduating class a scholarship in the amount of $10,000. This year’s recipient of the EPIC Scholarship is Diego Dominguez-Montanez from IDEA Edgemere.
Students from IDEA El Paso’s Class of 2025 have been accepted to the nation’s top colleges including the University of Michigan, Trinity University, Kalamazoo College, Baylor University, University of Mississippi, University of Texas at Austin and University of Texas at El Paso.
