IDEA Public Schools only offers transportation for IDEA Montopolis in Austin, the Rio Grande Valley, and the Permian Basin regions. Get specific details about transportation.
If your scholar’s campus offers transportation, please log into PowerSchool and click on the transportation tab. From there, you can register for transportation (student route should be available within 2 business days of submission) or verify your child’s bus stop information.
Since the first week of school usually produces heavier drop-off traffic, we recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before class begins so that scholars have time to find their classroom before the morning bell.
For safety purposes, all IDEA Families are asked to drop off their scholars in the drop-off line in front of the school inside the school dates. Directional signage and IDEA staff will be in place to guide this process.
Find specific campus-by-campus contact information on your child’s campus page. Search for your school’s webpage.
The time before classes begin and lunch period are known as transitions periods, which should be swift, quiet, and orderly. To ensure scholars become quickly acclimated to campus culture and to minimize school disruptions, all class walk-ins and lunch visits are not permitted.
We do encourage parents to come visit the campus during school events and activities. Notifications about these campus events will be shared with our IDEA families. Be sure to check your Parent Weekly, messaging apps, and campus social media page!
