Belinda Gonzales was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended The University of Texas Pan American and received a Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Major in Bilingual Education.
The experience that Belinda had working as a teacher in the La Joya community, taught her that underprivileged students can achieve success if they have strong and hard working teachers that will never give up on them. Belinda’s favorite quote by Barbara Colorose says “If kids come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job easier. If they do not come to us from strong, healthy, functioning families, it makes our job more important”. Belinda believes that the adults in the schools control the variables and that with hard work and dedication to students, we can reach success for all.
