A veteran educator of the Rio Grande Valley, Ms. Saron Mata began teaching in 2006 at Monte Alto Elementary and transitioned to IDEA in 2012. After several successful years teaching and leading third grade reading, Saron became an Assistant Principal of Instruction at IDEA, and has been in the Principal in Residence program since 2016.
Antonio Garza was born and raised in Edcouch-Elsa. Prior to joining IDEA, Antonio spent more than 20 years working in the city’s ISD as a successful and respected teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
Elsa Hernandez was born and raised in Weslaco, Tx. She attended South Texas College and earned her Associates in Accounting, May 2006. She began her journey at IDEA in July 2006 working as part of the Operations Team for the IDEA Donna Flagship Campus. Ms. Hernandez joined IDEA-U in October of 2018 to further her educational career. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with her Bachelor’s in Management in October 2020.
