IDEA Public Schools in the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio are celebrating outstanding achievements with high-ranking schools in the 2022-23 Children At Risk School Rankings.
In the Rio Grande Valley, IDEA Quest College Preparatory ranked third best among high schools and ranked first for middle schools in the region. In San Antonio, IDEA Carver College Preparatory emerged as the first-ranked high school in the city out of 76 high schools.

The 2022-2023 school year analysis reviewed public elementary, middle, and high schools in Texas regions ranked across four main areas including:
- Student Achievement
- Student performance on state standardized tests (STAAR)
- Campus Performance
- School comparison in test scores to schools with similar levels of poverty
- Student Growth
- How students improve on their STAAR tests in a school year
- College Readiness (High School only)
- The number of students graduating on time and participating in other college readiness activities.
As the top-ranked high school in San Antonio, IDEA Carver College Preparatory serves more than 600 students on the east side of San Antonio. For the past 5 years in a row, 100% of high school seniors matriculated to the college of their choice. This year, 100% of the high school current seniors have already been accepted into a 4-year university and have been offered over 40 million dollars in scholarships.
