Biography

Najuma (Naj) Atkinson is an influential corporate executive with
nearly 30 years of experience leading high-performing teams and
shaping purpose-driven cultures at global organizations. Known for
her expertise in workplace transformation, she has been recognized
in Black Enterprise and Savoy Magazine as one of the most
Influential Executives in Corporate America; and was also featured in
CNBC’s Make It! series.

Most recently Atkinson was the Executive Vice President and
Chief People Officer of Hasbro (HAS-NADAQ) a game, IP and toy
company, leading the global Human Resources organization and
the Hasbro Foundation. As a member of the Executive Leadership
Team, she played a key role in the company’s transformation,
leading the effort to establish a new technology enabled operating
model.

Prior to Hasbro, Atkinson spent over two decades at Dell
Technologies (DELL-NYSE) holding several senior executive roles,
including SVP Global HR Services and M&A; and SVP of Data,
Insights and Analytics, Chief Customer Office. She also worked at
Deutsche Bank (DB-NYSE) and SunTrust Bank, now Truist Financial
Corporation (TFC-NYSE) in roles of increasing responsibility.

Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Marqeta (MQ-NASDAQ), a leading fintech company, where she chairs the
Compensation and Human Capital Management Committee, in
addition to serving on the Nomination and Governance Committee.

Atkinson earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Fisk
University and a master’s degree in organizational management from
Trevecca Nazarene University.
When not driving impact in the boardroom or the workplace, she
spends time in her community supporting organizations committed
to developing future leaders and hiking the trails with her rescue dog
Muppet.
