IDEA Mission HOSA’s Award-Winning Campaign
IDEA Mission College Prep HOSA (Future Health Professionals) took home first place in the Community Awareness event at the 2023-24 International Leadership Conference (ILC) in Houston, Texas. Hear from our scholars on their award-winning campaign for obesity awareness on Noticias RGV.
IDEA Elsa Attends Teen Police Academy Program
Nataly Diaz from IDEA Elsa College Prep participated in the Edinburg Police Department’s Teen Police Academy program this summer. She learned how to about the process of crime scene investigation, law enforcement careers in Texas and how to perform CPR.
IDEA Quest Scholars Earn EKG Certification
Students in IDEA Quest College Preparatory’s CTE courses earned a $1,500 scholarship to attend South Texas College’s EKG (Electrocardiogram) summer course. The students are now EKG-certified technicians prepared to work in the medical setting before they enter their senior year.
IDEA Walzem Interviewing Skills
Our youngest CTE students at IDEA Walzem in San Antonio are preparing for the workforce by participating in the job application process and practicing mock interviews.
IDEA Palmview attends 96th Texas FFA State Convention
IDEA Palmview’s award-winning Future Farmers of America team attended the FFA State Convention in Houston, Texas this summer. The group engaged in opportunities to meet like-minded students and participated in hands-on learning experiences.
