This week, IDEA Public Schools celebrates three days of College Signing Day 2025, beginning May 14 at the McAllen Convention Center. Today, seniors from IDEA Pharr, IDEA San Juan, IDEA North Mission, and IDEA San Benito kicked off the three-day event.
At the first College Signing Day event in the Rio Grande Valley, six seniors were honored with scholarship funds to help fund the next four years in college. Eight students were awarded IDEA’s Give Me Five Scholarship in the amount of $8,000, funded by generous donations from the IDEA Team and Family. Give Me Five Scholarship recipients from today’s campuses are Marlene Padilla and America Romero from IDEA Pharr, Dana Lara and Aaron Estrada from IDEA San Juan, Karyme Silva and Victor Cabrales from IDEA North Mission, and Alexa Perales and Delilah Vega from IDEA San Benito.
Students from today’s College Signing Day presentation have been accepted to the nation’s top colleges, including Rice University, Wabash College, Kalamazoo College, Yale University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and more. Join us in congratulating the graduating class of 2025 and their families on this unforgettable milestone. We invite the IDEA Team & Family to continue celebrating the collective success of IDEA’s Class of 2025!
