Kathleen Zimmermann

Kathleen brings a wealth of experience to IDEA, having most recently served as the Executive Director of NYOS Charter School, INC. Under her leadership, she not only achieved successful financial outcomes, but played a pivotal role in fostering an empowered and inclusive workplace culture.

Her commitment to sustaining a profitable financial model and advocating for charter school facilities funding with the state legislature showcases her immense dedication to students and the education sector.

Before her role at NYOS Charter School, INC, Kathleen served as Finance Director for Harvard Business School, where she managed all financial operations, budgeting, and analytics for the Executive Education business unit. Her contributions included guiding the professional development of the finance team, enhancing analytics budgeting tools, and improving client-focused departmental support.

Kathleen is a native of Louisiana, holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business from Georgetown University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She serves as the Board Treasurer and board member for the Texas Public Charter Schools Association.
