He has a passion for science, and one day wants to be a doctor. He recently won first place in the microbiology division at the UTRGV Regional Science and Engineering Fair in Brownsville, Texas, as well as the Naval Science Award. He credits IDEA McAllen College Preparatory Teacher Mr. Castillo as a mentor.
