Fall in Love with Learning: Why Every Day Matters in February

February is the month of love, and there’s no better way to show love for your child’s future than by supporting them and encouraging great school attendance. Every school day is an opportunity that allows students and teachers to work collaboratively as they progress in the year, and with only a few months of school left, we want to encourage all our families to commit to having a strong attendance. Every day a student misses school results in a loss of 480 minutes of learning and instruction.

Let’s focus on our love for learning this February and support our students by committing to these five attendance commitments.

Set the Tone for Success:
Make school attendance a priority in your home. Talk to your child about the importance of being present and engaged in class.

Create a Morning Routine:
A consistent morning routine helps your child get to school on time and sets a positive tone for the school day.

Schedule Wisely:
Whenever possible, schedule appointments and family activities outside of school hours to avoid missing valuable learning time.

Stay Connected:
Be proactive and communicate with your child’s teachers if challenges arise throughout the school year.

Celebrate Milestones:
Recognize and reward your child’s commitment to good attendance. Celebrate small achievements at home to keep them motivated.

We look forward to celebrating the positive impact perfect attendance has this month. Committing to strong attendance allows students to build their confidence in class. Empowering students and creating life-long learners. Let’s commit to #EveryChildEveryDay this week and every week after!
