  • Congratulations are in order for five IDEA schools that were recently designated as T-STEM (Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Academies schools by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). IDEA College Prep Alamo, IDEA College Prep San Benito, IDEA College Prep Mission, IDEA College Prep San Juan, and IDEA College Prep Edinburg received this designation for the 2017-18 school year. The TEA awards this designation to rigorous secondary schools that focus on improving instruction and academic performance in science and mathematics-related subjects. Learn more on our blog!   • Congratulations to IDEA Quest’s Valery Tobias, for being named Girls Track and Field Athlete of the Year at the Rio Grande Valley All-Valley Sports Awards Banquet. In May, Valery, an incoming junior at IDEA Quest, placed first in the State UIL Track and Field State Meet. Way to go, Valery!
