The regional advisory boards at IDEA Public Schools are key to our growth and impact, both locally and nationwide. These dedicated board members not only strengthen community engagement but also forge valuable local partnerships and spearhead fundraising efforts.
Interaction among each of the regional boards and the national board of directors is crucial to the success of IDEA as a consistent, strong, and integrated organization. Our regional board members are advocates for our mission and help to further drive the organization forward.

Dr. Anastasia Lindo-Anderson
CEO, EMERGE
Dr. Lindo-Anderson received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, master’s degree from the University of Houston, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University. She has been a leader in public education for over 25 years, having served as an English teacher, principal, school improvement officer, and superintendent. She currently serves as the CEO of EMERGE, a nonprofit that empowers and equips high-achieving students from low-income communities to apply to, thrive at, and graduate from the nation’s best colleges and universities.
Celeste Barretto Milligan
CEO/Co-Founder, Tessilys Group, LLC
Celeste is a graduate of Douglass College at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. As an experienced practitioner in the field of education, she is a dedicated advocate for public education in Texas. Celeste has been coaching, leading, and consulting for nearly 2 decades. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Student Impact at Digital Promise. She is also the CEO and founder of Tessilys Group, LLC, an education and nonprofit consulting firm.
Donna Hampton
VP of Finance, Management Controls
Donna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College. As a CPA of over 20 years, she is passionate about operational accounting, financial reporting, and financial planning and analysis. She began her career at Price Waterhouse and has held accounting and finance positions across various industries. She currently serves as Vice President of Finance at Management Controls, a software service provider for global contractor management, where she is instrumental in optimizing company growth while implementing improvements for efficiency, scalability, productivity, and compliance.
John Esquivel
John received his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University and his J.D. from the University of Michigan. He is retired from Shell Oil Company, where he served as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel for 32 years. He is a member of the board of Houston Endowment, UnidosUS, the Community Relations Committee of the Memorial Hermann Health System, the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Texas Methodist Foundation, and the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
Max Moll
Principal, Cornerstone
Max holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston University, Master’s in Political Management from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University. He has extensive experience in public affairs, strategic communications, and government relations. He currently serves as the Principal at Cornerstone, a bipartisan, employee-owned consulting firm specializing in federal and state government relations, public affairs and strategic communications, political consulting, grant consulting and business advisory services.
