Lilya Matos is a distinguished financial services professional who has dedicated her career to managing operational, regulatory and financial risk for large international organizations including Capital One Financial Corporation, Discover Financial Services, Citibank, USAA Bank and Ernst & Young (EY).
Throughout her career, Lilya has had the privilege to lead various transformational initiatives requiring the design and implementation of risk management frameworks that have resulted in successfully achieving corporate goals while also satisfying regulatory requirements. On a personal note, Lilya is an avid tennis player and is a volunteer with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in the San Antonio, Texas area. Lilya once served on USTA Texas Finance Committee ensuring the appropriate management of funds related to play leagues, development programs and special events hosted throughout the state.
Lilya obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio and subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in International Business from the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). Additionally, Lilya served on the UIW Alumni Board of Directors which aims to strengthen alumni loyalty and foster a mutually beneficial relationship between alumni and the university.
