Principal Marlitha L. Williams is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from LaSalle High School in South Bend, Indiana, after relocating from Albuquerque, New Mexico. While in South Bend, she worked at Eggleston Elementary School with children in the Bridges program. Principal Williams’ studies led her to Purdue University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts.
She continued her studies at the University of Arkansas School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate. She then moved to Texas with her family and passed the State Bar. After briefly practicing law with, she chose a career in education that would give her more time with her family. She then served as a teacher for three years with the SAISD at the elementary level. Her love for educating children led her to IDEA Brackenridge where she served as an API for three years and was promoted to her current position as Principal. Principal Williams enjoys spending time with both her daughters, Aayana and Bryana, who attend the University of Texas in Austin. She relaxes to music, binge watching tv shows, traveling, and walking outdoors.

Montero born and raised in Mexico City with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Tec de Monterrey university, work in the private sector over different firms at Mexico, with experience in Advertising, Pharmaceutical market research and developing new brand products for the retail market for Liverpool department stores in Mexico before transitioning into education. In 2003 Mr. Montero began teaching business courses in the career and technical education department at BISD Brownsville Independent School District and during the course of 13 years was very involved with students and their career pathways upon graduation from the School District, in 2016 apply to work with IDEA combining the managing experience with the education field and become getting the Assistant principal of operations (APO) position at IDEA Brownsville, currently with 3 years of experience in manage all the operations and logistics for the campus to guaranteed instructional leaders can focus only in prepare our students to college.
