Principals oversee all elements of their campus, manage the lead team and a small portfolio of teachers, and lead campus professional development.
Principals-in-Residence work alongside mentor principals managing teachers and campus operations, preparing to lead an IDEA campus in 1-3 years.
Assistant Principals of Instruction manage a large portfolio of campus teachers and help lead professional development.
Assistant Principal of Operations manage campus operations and logistics, as well as a team of auxiliary staff members.
Directors of College Counseling manage the college process for students at the high school level, and manage college counselors.
College Counselors guide a portfolio of juniors and seniors on the Road to College.
Academic Counselors manage testing, accountability, and student culture and retention.
It depends on the role – but previous teaching experience is always highly preferred, and required for any roles involving the management of teachers or instruction.
