Give me 5

IDEA’s Staff Giving Campaign designed to help students who are in need of scholarships and emergency loans.

Early in IDEA’s history, many of its students were struggling to continue their education because they needed financial help for things such as books, transportation, and bus passes.

Founded in 2008 to address this problem, Give Me 5 is IDEA’s staff giving campaign that awards students in need with scholarships and emergency loans. Our goal is to consistently achieve an annual participate rate of at least 90%. Last year (2016-2017) we were able to hit 91% full time participation for the first time ever in IDEA’s history.

Employee contributions are deducted per paycheck from July - June. Contributions are tax-deductible and they roll over from year to year, so there is no need to re-enroll unless you are changing the amount.
