IDEA Public Schools Kicks-Off 2019-20 School Year With New Schools in Tarrant County

We welcomed nearly 53,000 students across six regions in Texas and Louisiana this week

For the first time ever, IDEA Public Schools celebrated its first day of school in Tarrant County, welcoming nearly 1,000 scholars on two campuses—IDEA Achieve and IDEA Rise. Students and families entered IDEA’s beautiful new campuses, and teachers waved hello as students laughed and hugged their parents before giving campus staff big high-fives and beginning the school day.

The last two weeks have been filled with excitement for the IDEA Team & Family! Staff welcomed nearly 53,000 students across six regions in Texas and Louisiana with nearly 15,000 new scholars.

On August 5, Southern Louisiana opened their doors at IDEA Oscar Dunn in New Orleans and were welcomed by a live band.

On August 8, eight new campuses opened across Texas: IDEA Achieve and IDEA Rise in our newest region in Tarrant County; IDEA Parmer Park and IDEA Health Professions in Austin; IDEA Burke in San Antonio; IDEA Mesa Hills in El Paso; and IDEA Robindale and IDEA Los Encinos in the Rio Grande Valley.

We are so excited for our newest schools as they begin their first year educating scholars on the road to and through college. Take a look below at some of our favorite back to school photos. Happy Beginning of the School Year!
