Texas Runoff Election Voting Information

Election season is here! This month, Texans’ ballots will be packed with runoff elections for important leadership positions throughout various levels of government. We want to make sure that all IDEA parents, staff members, and students ages 18 and over exercise their right to vote.

Here are some important details for voting in the Texas Runoff Elections

  • Early voting for the July election runs from Monday, June 29, until Friday, July 10, and Election Day is Tuesday, July 14.
  • You can find your voting precinct location by using the search site “My Voter Page“, which will be populated with voting sites two days prior to election day. Many newspapers publish Election Day polling locations in print and online
  • Election Day voting hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at all polling places statewide.
  • When you vote, remember to bring one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of photo ID (listed here).
  • While you do not need to bring your voter registration certificate with you to vote, we highly recommend that you have it with you at the polling place.
