We are counting down the days until we see you again. With many news articles circulating about Back to School plans, we wanted to send you all an update about our Strong Start 2020 plans.

As of July 28, IDEA Public Schools’ Back to School plans will remain the same with the majority of our students returning virtually through September 8.

This decision takes into account the recent opinion by the State Attorney General and the guidance provided by our partners at the Texas Education Agency.

IDEA believes, and TEA requires, that any child who does not have internet or device access to successfully participate in online learning must have access to the materials necessary. Through IDEA’s 1:1 technology program and our materials distribution centers, which start on August 3, we are confident our students will have what they need to learn.

Starting on Monday, August 3, we will be asking our amazing teachers to reach out to welcome you back to the new year.

Estamos contando los días hasta que los veamos de nuevo. Con muchos artículos de noticias circulando sobre los planes de Regreso a la Escuela, queríamos enviarles a todos una actualización sobre nuestros planes “Strong Start 2020”.

A partir del 28 de julio, los planes de Regreso a la Escuela de IDEA Public Schools seguirán siendo los mismos, y la mayoría de nuestros estudiantes regresarán virtualmente hasta el 8 de septiembre.

Esta decisión toma en cuenta la opinión reciente del Fiscal General del Estado y la orientación brindada por nuestros socios en la Agencia de Educación de Texas.

IDEA cree y TEA requiere, que cualquier niño que no tenga acceso a internet o dispositivo para participar exitosamente en el aprendizaje en línea debe tener acceso a los materiales necesarios. A través del programa de tecnología 1: 1 de IDEA y nuestros centros de distribución de materiales, que comienzan el 3 de agosto, estamos seguros de que nuestros estudiantes tendrán lo que necesitan para aprender.

A partir del lunes 3 de agosto, les pediremos a nuestros increíbles maestros que se comuniquen para darle la bienvenida al nuevo año escolar.
