Beginning late next week, the IDEA Public Schools Child Nutrition Program (CNP) will be proudly serving FREE meals during the winter break to any child ages 18 and under through the Holiday Meal Bundles Initiative! Each meal bundle will contain 21 meals, designed to serve one child breakfast, lunch and supper for one week. 

This service is an incredible opportunity to serve our scholars and the children of our communities as we continue to deliver on our promise to provide access to nutritious meals. Providing this service at no cost to participants also allows us to support families who may be experiencing financial difficulties due to the economic impacts of COVID-19.

Friday, December 18: IDEA El Paso, IDEA Southern Louisiana, IDEA Tarrant County (No Advance Sign-up Needed), IDEA Montopolis, IDEA Bluff Springs, IDEA Parmer Park, IDEA Pflugerville, IDEA Kyle  

• IDEA El Paso: Meal pick-up will be from 7 – 11 a.m. at all IDEA El Paso campuses. Please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools. 
• IDEA Southern Louisiana: See schedule and forms for New Orleans and Baton Rouge below. 
  • IDEA Oscar Dunn: Meal pick-up will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools. 
  • IDEA Bridge & IDEA Innovation: Meal pick-up will be from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools. 
• IDEA Tarrant County: Meal pick-up will be from 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. No advance sign-up is required. 
• IDEA Greater Houston: Meal pick-up will take place from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools. 
• IDEA Austin: Meal pick-up times for IDEA Montopolis, IDEA Bluff Springs, IDEA Parmer Park, IDEA Pflugerville and IDEA Kyle are all different (See below). For all campuses except IDEA Kyle, please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools.

Saturday, December 19: IDEA Rundberg and IDEA Round Rock Tech in Austin

Monday, December 21: IDEA Rio Grande Valley, IDEA San Antonio, IDEA Greater Houston and IDEA Health Professions 

• IDEA Rio Grande Valley: Meal pick-up will take place on Monday, December 21, at all IDEA Rio Grande Valley campuses during regular meal curbside pick-up hours. Curbside pick-up hours vary by campus. Please be sure to contact your nearest campus for pick-up times. Please fill out the form here by Friday, December 11, to sign up any child in your household that would like to participate. They do not need to attend IDEA Public Schools. 
• IDEA San Antonio: Meal pick-up will take place on Monday, December 21, at all IDEA San Antonio campuses during regular meal curbside pick-up hours. Curbside pick-up hours vary by campus. All meals are provided via curbside pick–up only on a first come, first serve basis. All children in the community that are 18 years old and under are eligible for meal service at any school location. Campuses are also distributing all meals before the bundle as normal.  

Due to new regulations by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), if a child is not present in the car, parents must be able to show proof of child identity in order to receive meals.  

Forms of identification include: 

• Official letter/email from school listing children enrolled   
• Individual student report cards  
• Attendance record from parent portal of school website  
• Birth certificate for children  
• Student ID cards
