Free Lunch Offered Through IDEA’s Child Nutrition Program-Seamless Summer Option

As part of IDEA’s commitment to local Texas communities in the Rio Grande Valley, Austin, El Paso, and San Antonio and the Baton Rouge community in Louisiana, the Child Nutrition Program (CNP) will be participating in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s (TDA) Seamless Summer Option (SSO). The SSO was created to ensure that children, especially in low income areas, continue to receive nutritious meals during summer.  With this program, we are able to provide free breakfast and lunch to all children, 18 years and younger, whether or not they are IDEA scholars.  No form of identification is required to receive a meal for SSO.

  • Days of Operation:  Monday – Friday
  • Time of Service:  Breakfast:  7 – 8 a.m.; Lunch: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
